A little bit of Christmas

You can all thank Hobby Lobby for this post.  They have had their Christmas out for at least a month already.  I was shopping there a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but browse the Christmas sections.  Course browsing turned into buying and I ended up making two wreaths that you can find here. https://craftyboutiquebytam.wordpress.com/2017/09/02/busy-busy-week-much-needed-break/

While I was there I found a few cute items that I thought I would play around with.  One was a wooden christmas tree.  I had some supplies lying around. I gathered up some nice christmas garlands and berry picks. I then dusted off my cricut and went through my vinyl and picked 3 colors. A  silver, a glitter gold, and a glitter bronze.  I just love the stained wooden christmas tree’s decorated with words so I decided I would pick a few words out.  I chose Joy, Noel, and Peace.  I took measurements of each section and made my words to fit.   I then added some pretty Christmas garland and some berries.  I had this metal star in almost the same color as my stain that I wanted to use but it blended too much.  I ended up painting it red.   That was the touch it needed.  This is how it came together.  I hope y’all like it.

When I stained all the wood I stained several projects at once.  I also ended up completing all of these.

I might visit Hobby Lobby again tomorrow for more wreath supplies. I wonder if I can stick to my shopping list?

I hope you all have a fantabulous day.  Until next time.

I am always on the lookout for fun different items that I can make floral arrangements in.   I have been sitting on these beautiful flowers waiting for the perfect item to display them in.

I decided to start with the metal envelopes.  They seems to be the perfect fit for the flowers I was wanting to use.  In the end I think they were perfect.  I am in love with these creations.

Are you ready?

The first day of fall is fast approaching!  Sept 22nd is the day.  I know. I know.  I have been posting about fall for a few weeks now.  I can’t help myself.  I love fall.  I really need to be making items for Christmas but fall is on my mind.  I can’t help myself.  The colors are so gorgeous.   All the colors in Fall leaves.. Which brings me to my projects today.  =)

Paper Fall Leaves Wreath.

This Wreath is completely constructed out of card stock.  I cut out various styles of leaves on my cricut in all the beautiful fall colors.  I then used a metal wreath form  and began to attach the leaves with hot glue starting on one side and working around until a shape I was pleased with was formed.  Such an easy project and a beautiful result.

I then stained a piece of wood I had and made this wall hanging.  I added some pretty fall floral’s and used gold glitter vinyl to make the word Grateful.  It turned out really pretty!

Next I stained a small piece of wood and created a fall sign.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects for the day.  I am happy with the results.  I especially love that wreath.  I plan to take extra special care of it and use it for many years.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!!

Thank you!!!

Fallen Leaves in the Pumpkin Patch

Today,  I was in a mood to make fall cards.  I cut my card (5X7)  on my cricut.  I then cut a 2 square slightly smaller than the other in the cardstock colors of my choice (the middle piece has a slight pattern). I took the 3rd smaller square and put it into the embossing folder and ran it through my cuttlebug,  embossing  it with this cute fall folder that I had purchased last year by Sizzix.

Embossing folder

I decided to try to use my ink pads and dust them over my embossed folders.  I saw it done in a video and thought it was pretty.  I used a circular sponge with my blue ink pad to create clouds.  The end result was quite pretty.  I love how it turned out.  I even made the envelope! =)

I then decided to use this fall stamp set that I had purchased by Fiskars.

For this one I chose inks that were all fall in color scheme.  First I stamped my tree.  Then I picked the leaves I wanted to use and randomly stamped leaves around my tree in all the fall colors. Including some fallen leaves.  Using the sponge like above I bleneded some fall color over the top of my stamping.  I like how it gives it an aged feeling.

I hope y’all like them.
